RIVET 26, a brand-new luxury residential community, has begun welcoming its first residents marking another milestone for University Place, Jersey City’s transformative masterplan community in the city’s west end. A combined vision of The Hampshire CompaniesClaremont Development, and Circle Squared Alternative Investments, RIVET 26 has seen strong leasing activity and is currently already over 50 percent leased since opening in June.

Ideally located at 26 University Place Boulevard in Jersey City, RIVET 26 offers residents the opportunity to experience the best in urban living and all that Jersey City has to offer in one of N.J.’s most in-demand markets.

Standing at the gateway to University Place, a master redevelopment plan to transform Jersey City’s emerging west end neighborhood into a vibrant live-work-play community, RIVET 26 features 199 modern rental residences, a wealth of curated amenities and 10,000 square feet of service-oriented ground-level retail. RIVET 26 joins sister community, RIVET, a 163-unit luxury apartment building also completed by The Hampshire Companies, Claremont Development and Circle Squared Alternative Investments in 2019.

Less than one-third of a mile from the Bergen Hudson Light Rail stop, the strategic location provides access to the Hackensack River Waterfront and Hoboken, promising convenient proximity to all that the Gold Coast and the New York City metro area have to offer. In addition to Bergen Hudson Light Rail accessibility, RIVET 26 offers a complimentary direct shuttle service to the Journal Square PATH Station, enhancing access to New York City. Two bike terminals, 155 structured parking spaces and street parking further complement the transportation options available for commuters.

“Since day one, our goal has been to leverage our deep experience in real estate investment to create an in-demand and dynamic community in support of the City’s west end transformation,” said James E. Hanson II, President and CEO of The Hampshire Companies. “The leasing success we are experiencing at both RIVET 26 and its adjacent sister community, RIVET, speak to the continued successful execution of our vision. We thank our team, project partners, NJCU and Jersey City for their ongoing collaboration as we welcome our first residents.”

Developed in conjunction with New Jersey City University and Jersey City, University Place will include the construction of eight buildings, 1,000 new luxury rental residences and access to more than 120,000 square feet of retail, a performing arts center, cafes, theaters, and lush green space.

Completed in 2019, RIVET was the first building at University Place to welcome residents and retail tenants. With the completion and occupancy of their brand-new RIVET 26 community, The Hampshire Companies, Claremont Development and Circle Squared Alternative Investments are providing a wide range of unique residential opportunities for residents hoping to create their homes in Jersey City’s newest neighborhood.

RIVET 26 was designed by project architect Netta Architects and interior design was overseen by Interior Motives. Currently, studio monthly rental rates begin from the $1,500’s, one-bedroom monthly rental rates begin from the $1,700’s and two-bedroom monthly rental rates begin from the $2,600’s, with limited grand opening incentives of up to 4 months free on a 24-month lease.

Features include spacious 9’6” ceilings, oversized windows, in-home washer and dryers, contemporary kitchens with stainless steel appliances, undermount sinks, quartz countertops, modern two-tone white and gray cabinetry, moveable kitchen islands and subway tile backsplashes. Select residences also offer private outdoor space, dens and double vanities.

Beyond the modern and well-appointed residences, residents at RIVET 26 enjoy access to an extraordinary 75,000 square feet of lifestyle amenities across the two communities. Beginning with RIVET 26’s landscaped sun terrace featuring an outdoor bar, firepits, turf lawn and lounge seating, and private BBQ and dining areas, residents have no shortage of spaces to enjoy in the summer and fall months ahead.

Boasting a similarly expansive indoor amenity package, RIVET 26 features multiple entertainment lounges, a billiards room with a fireplace and bar, a coffee bar and a co-working lounge with private offices perfect for remote work. The community’s all-inclusive fitness center also includes a dedicated yoga and spin studio with virtual training technology.

Residents also enjoy peace of mind as the building boasts 24/7 onsite maintenance as well as a Butterfly MX virtual entry system, private resident storage and a package concierge. The pet-friendly community also features a pet spa for resident use.

Located just across the street, RIVET’s amenities include a cyber café with WiFi access, an activated 15,000-square-foot courtyard with a sundeck, lounge seating, gaming areas, grilling stations, an indoor lounge with courtyard connectivity, a dedicated pet spa, and a light-filled fitness center with Fitness On Demand and yoga studio.

In addition to its robust amenity package, RIVET 26 residents can enjoy access to in-demand retail and entertainment options right outside their doors. RIVET’s 9,500 square feet of retail space is currently fully leased to five retailers providing a range of grocery, retail and dining options. The addition of 10,000 square feet of ground-level retail space at RIVET 26 enhances the existing retail offerings at University Place and provides additional opportunities for exciting retail and entertainment businesses to become a part of the growing neighborhood.
